Key Missionary Tips, Outlined by Devoted and Experienced Christian Missionary Dr. Grady S. McMurtry

1. As a missionary, you are doing God’s work. Be thankful you have found a path of humility and righteousness.

2. Missionary service requires dedication, commitment, and perseverance. Exhibit courage and strength in your mission to spread the teachings of our Christian faith.

3. Try to acclimate yourself to unfamiliar social situations. Missionary work requires interacting with people from many different circumstances. The more comfortable and at ease you appear, the more effective you will prove in your service.

4. Practice conveying your message to people from your community. Ask questions, listen, and remain sincere.

5. Missionaries who are flexible and open tend to excel. A routine nine-to-five day does not occur often in missionary work, so exhibit a willingness to adjust your life accordingly.

6. Emotional and physical health remain critical, especially when traveling to areas where access to health care proves limited.

7. Understand that not everyone will welcome your message. Be prepared to encounter anger or dissent. In these moments, handle yourself with poise and dignity.

8. Respect others, even if you are not in agreement with them.

9. Missionary tasks often include building homes or schools, teaching, leading religious groups, and providing medical care.
